Last week I got all the parts for my new computer and spent the weekend installing and testing it out. Basically I just laid all the part out, connected everything together and started using it. For one I didn’t get my heatsink till the following Monday so I had to use the retail, the heatsink I bought would require me to remove the retail bracket on the motherboard that’s why I didn’t bother putting it in the case. I’ll probably install it later today while I’m doing laundry.
Here’s a picture of it:
Specs.
- DFI LanParty UT nF4 SLI-DR
- Athlon 64 3500+ (Venice)
- Corsair XMS 1GB TwinX
- XFX 6800GT 256MB
- Antec Smart Power 500w
- Maxtor 80GB
- DVD-ROM
- DVD-RW (not in pic)
- TV tuner (not in pic)
- Scythe Katana (heatsink)
EDIT:
Dang….I installed it in my case and the CPU temp increased by 4-5° @ idle!

That’s a pretty snazzy picture, hahaha, wires everywhere. I’ve never fixed a computer so I’m not really talented at fixing them but I do know a lot about working with computers…like sometimes while my dads on the internet he aske me questions on how to do something. But anyways, I’m just rambling so I hope you have an EXCELLENT day.
