  • Say hello to my little friend.

My friend here is a Cascading Bonsai tree, I was at the street fair today and decided to pick one up.  I’ve been needing a plant at my apartment for quite some times, something alive other than me.  I spoke of obtaining a bonsai before but didn’t have the chance to go shop for one, I desire the cool and wild looks it.  Hopefully I can keep it alive and shape it into something cool.  I’m not quite sure of the quality since I bought it from a street fair, but I paid $15 for it and I’ll start learning how to master a bonsai.  The tag that was in the pot says it’s estimated to be 4 years old and in training (shaping) for a year.  Sounds fun and it’s great to look at, since the weather is getting warmer the bonsai will be in its growing stage.  So time for me to get some fertilizer and read about bonsai caring.  If anyone have any tips to share that would be great!

  • bonsai trees sound hard to care for.. i think you have to prune both the branches and the roots

  • i had a bonsai tree for a little over a year but then it died on me.   i think it needed some fertilizer but i took good care for it for as long as i could. they need watering like almost every day and i even went on vacation for a week and when i came back it was still alive ’cause i stuck it in a big pot of water so it had a constant water supply. hehe, they’re pretty neat plants to take care of. enjoy!

  • gooogle some links.. http://www.bonsaisite.com/gallery1.html <– they have realllly cool looking ones…

  • I have the black thumb of doom when it comes to gardens/plants/etc., so I won’t offer any advice.

  • Awwwwwww, lol. I’ve never had a bonsai tree, but it’s nice to have and care for plants, I know that sounds kinda corny, but plants weren’t created just for looks,..they need nourishment and they need to be cared for.

I hope you have a lovely day!
