  • Did I mention I got stitches after they pulled my wisdom teeth?  Yep, they sutured the gaping hole and those are the first ever stitches I received in my life.

  • I got my second wisdom teeth extracted couple of hours ago.  Last week I already had one taken out.  Both the ones on the bottom grew out sideways so I had to get rid of them and I did.  The one on the right was ok, didn’t hurt too much but it hurts and I was only on Ibuprofen the day of.  The one on the left felt a little more painful and it took longer for my doc to extract.  It’s been almost 2 hours and the anesthesia is wearing off, it’s getting harder to swallow and feels a bit swollen.  Every time I try to close my jaw all the way I feel something getting in the way where my wisdom teeth use to be. Maybe its my gum, swollen, it feels weird.  I’m afraid I’m going to chew it off when I eat.

Damn wisdom teeth, why did you have to grow sideways?  My doc, she had to cut it in half in order to pull them out.  Good thing I didn’t feel much, but everytime when it’s over I taste nothing but blood.  I’ll be back on my soup diet for another week or so and this time she gave me Amoxicillin (anti-biotics).  I better take those so I don’t get an infection.

  • The Jon Identity

It’s cool that people are reading my site and all, but I can’t  help to wonder those random people who have mistaken me for someone else.  Most of the people that I subscribe to are my friends or people I have met, then the other few are just random people that I find their blog interesting.

From time to time I get weird e-mails from strangers that goes something like this…”HEY JON!!  HOWZ IT GOING?!?!  haven’t talked to u in ages!..blah blah blah.”  Then I visit their Xanga site and find that I absolutely don’t know them.  Jon is a pretty common name, also this points out the feature of emailing someone from Xanga.  In the ‘To: (recipient email or username)’ field.  It clearly says email or username, I’m guessing majority of the people just put their friend’s name ‘Jon’ (which coincidentally happens to be my username) into that field and ends up in my Inbox.  Next time put their email or username, not just their first name.

Then there are those people who mistaken me for some other Jon and leaves nasty comment(s), nasty guestbook entry or both.  How can someone be sure that they know me just by reading my site?  They don’t and yet they jump to conclusion that I am that Jon.  Those nasty entries are just rude.  Wouldn’t they care to do more research?  Yes but they don’t.  The feeling of being accused is unpleasant, I’m sure everyone know how that feels.  I know it can be tough to figure out who’s who on the Internet so please use better judgement!

For those who just likes to leave me nasty comment(s) or guestbook entry(ies).  Those are funny.  I got some memorable one in my guestbook.

It would be great if I get 25 cents everytime someone mistaken me for another Jon, I’d be rich!!

Alright people, hope everyone had a good weekend.  Have fun at work/school/whateveryoudoduringtheday!

  • Ever wonder what’s the next thing in digital photography?  Well this guy went about and built his own digital camera, the resolution?  Weighting in at 1,000 megapixel.  He has a website right here at http://www.gigapxl.org.

The photos he took are just amazing.  His next project is to build a 4,000 megapixel digial camera.  Coooool.

Freaky.  I just finished the single player demo of the game.  It was shorter than I expected, I stopped playing last night because it kinda freaked me out so I was determined to finish it tonight.  I ended up playing for 5 minutes and the demo was over but it was a scary 5 minutes.

The game have some pretty cool elements to it, basically you’re a soldier with ultra high refelxes.  With your skill you can move faster than anyone, kinda like what Neo does except you can’t stop bullets.  Some of you might compare it to the bullet time in Max Payne.  You can only use it for a little bit then when you stop using it, it recharges itself.

The weapons are pretty standard, you have hand gun, shotgun, variety of assault rifles, a railgun-ish weapon.  Probably more in the full version, but you can only carry up to 3 at a time.  Grenades, mines, melee, etc.

The game have realistic physics and it’s weird how the dead bodies twitch, maybe it’s suppose to be like that.  The lighting and shadowing looks great, it can get a little dark at some places but it wasn’t like Doom 3 pitch black.  You also have a helmet light that’s limited, when it runs out of juice you turn it off to let it recharge.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the game and also the multiplayer.  I didn’t get a chance to participate in the beta but I hope those who did help make the game better.
