  • By the powerful influence of Mr. Choi, I bought this!  Pretty good price after rebate.  I’m going to be eating cereal all month long~~  Yeah, actually I like it since summer is so hot eating cereal is both healthy and refreshing (more fruits too).  On another note, I’m closer in building my machine.


    I’ll get him back though.  You hear me Chris?!  I’m gonna get joo sucka!!

  • It’s Friday, I’m at work, pretty quiet here so I like to share 2 funny links with everyone.



    Feel free to laugh out loud even if you’re at work right now just like me.  Do the same if you’re reading this at home.




    It’s about that time again….no I’m not having a period (besides I’m a guy).  I’m talking about the time for technological upgrades to my computer.  If you don’t know it by now, I like to play video games.  The recent hardware talk about SLI everywhere just did the number on me.  Yes folks I am going to upgrade my computer for SLI support.


    What is SLI you say?  It stands for Scalable Link Interface.  What’s so special about it?  Because you take advantage of using 2 powerful video cards to drive your games.  You will only see a performance gain only if the game supports SLI.  Now would be a good time to upgrade because it will be supported.


    Alright, I’ll skip the mumble jumble and get to the good part.  Below is a list of hardwares I have picked out.



    • DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D (Good price, not overloaded with features I’ll never touch, positive reviews)
    • AMD Athlon 64 3500 (Higher speed is still pricy, upgrade in the future)
    • 2x512MB PC3200 DDR (Haven’t picked out what brand)
    • XFX GeForce 6800 GT (Dual DVIs)
    • Antec SP-500 500w power supply (The video cards will be hungry for POWER!)

    This upgrade will be a little  ~$900 which is pretty good.  As of now I’ll just have 1 video card, I’ve seen some price drops with the 7800 debut and hopefully it’ll continue to do so.  When that happens I’ll get another one.


    Oh yes, I’m excited.  I hope you folks are as excited as me, if not then that’s ok.  It just means we don’t share the same passion about computers.  But anyways I have to go, I just remembered that I’m still at work.

  • Bonsai – Week 5 + 1 day



    Well, here it is.  My bonsai @ 5 weeks + 1 day since the date of purchase.  Looks roughly the same if you compare it to the picture of it @ 3 weeks.  It grew a little but there are some brown leaves, I’m not sure if they’re dying or turing in to bark.

    Oh yes, I have Chaos Theory, love the Splinter Cell series.  I’m at the part where I found out that the Koreans didn’t launch the missile.

  • So I heard Xanga’s upgraded Xangazon is sweet and I just have to check it out.  Sweeeeeet indeed.

  • Bonsai – Week 3 + 4 days


    So my bonsai is still alive and healthy, although I noticed some branches are a little dry but it’ll be alright.  I still haven’t been able to purchase some fertilizer for it and I should do that soon.  It has been hassle free so far, I water it every other night and during the day I put it next to my window for lots of sun.  This week has been super sunny, everyday is at least 80+° super super hot.  I still haven’t figured out the shape I want my bonsai to look like.  A couple of weeks ago I pruned it a bit but it just still looks the same, maybe I’ll do some searching to get some ideas.

  • Thermaltake Soprano – $84

    I have an old computer which I turned it in to a personal server when I bought a new computer. It was housed in a case that was damaged when I shipped it here, so I have been searching for a new case and I have found it. Right out of the box is just different from what I use to see, the case is wrapped in soft cloth instead of plastic to protect it from scratches during shipping. It also includes a cleaning cloth for well…cleaning your case.



    Here’s a front view of the case showing off some sexy curves. The quality is amazing, every inch is smooth and glossy also has a solid feel.



    The back look just like any other tower and it features a 120 mm fan. There is also a 120 mm fan at the front, the great thing about 120 mm fans are that they can move a lot of air without being too noisy. The case do come with 2 pairs of keys, one pair unlocks the front and the other unlocks the side panel.  Keep those pesky thieves out.



    Here’s what’s behind the front door, 4 x 5.25″ bays, 2 x 3.5″ bays, power button, reset button.



    Up top here are firewire port, USB ports, headphone and microphone jack.  My mobo is pretty old so the firewire, headphone, and mic are useless for me.



    Here’s the lock on the side that keeps the panel from being opened.  The thumb screw is big….really big.



    The inside.  This case is compeletly tool free, except for the part where you install the mobo.  But you can install additional cards and drives without picking up a screw driver.  Schweeeet!  It makes it a whole lot easier to add components.



    The 120 mm fan, you can also see the clamp for the slots.



    Yes this picture sucks.  Its suppose to be a pic of the intrusion mechanism, if your mobo supports this (mine doesn’t).  It’ll alert you if your case have been opened unwillingly, pretty neat stuff.



    The goodies:  Bag of screws, keys, and drive locks.

    FEET!!  They can be folded out.



    Fully assembled, plenty of room.
