  • VS.

Hmmm….Which one would you rather have?

Yep, finally ordered a new switch from buy.com. Got a pretty good deal too, $3.77 after a mail in rebate free shipping too (and they said it would take 14 – 17 days to get here and it only took 3). That thing is pretty darn small it’s shorter than a dollar bill and only about an inch wider. The old one (on the left) I bought it off ebay awhile back for $20, they both are 5 port switch except the new one I got is an auto sensing 10/100 MB and the Compaq one is only 100BaseT. I’m very pleased with the new switch, makes the underside of my desk a little neater.

  • Finally got around to clean my fish tank, it’s been green for a couple of days. This fish currently inside the tank apparently is evil. I had 5 other fishes (same kind) in there and for no good reason they all died except this one. So I have concluded that this fish drove the other fishes to their deaths. So evil….

  • Sweet!  That’s what I said when I got my CompTIA A+ certificate in the mail today.  That was pretty fast, I passed the exam about 2 weeks ago.  It came with a little card that I can put in my wallet and take it with me.  Hehe, A+ Certified Professional, sounds good to me!!

    Q.  What is A+ Certification?

    A.  Basically it means that whom ever passed the exam is a certified PC technician and they should know how to fix computer problems.

  • Woohoo!!  I purchased a Radeon 9700 Pro and it arrived at my door step last friday.  Right on time for my weekend gaming marathon.  This card is amazing, so much better than my GeForce256 (consider it to be 2 years old).  Now I can’t stop playing games!!  Smooth movements and beautiful graphics…..*drool*  I give it 2 thumbs up!!  d==b

  • Hmmmm….Let’s see what have I been doing in the past few days. Well first I have to give myself a pat on the back for cleaning my room. Then I decided to put my black light (that I bought how many years ago?) under my desk.

And we have a glowing desk:

Then I got bored one day and decided to implement this mod myself:

Whoa! What’s going on? You ask. Why are there stuff glowing in my computer? That’s because I saw this guy who posted the idea of using UV reactive pens to hi-light his video card. It turned out nice for him so I wanted to try it myself. So I went out to Office Depot and bought myself a pack of Bic’s Intensity Roller Gel Pens. After half an hour detailing my video card, NIC and sound card, I have to admit that the result is very satisfying. The pictures are a little blurry but it does look awsome in person.

    Take a closer look:
