Had a interesting weekend for me (I know it’s kinda late but I finally got some free time to write this). On Saturday I finally get to go to the NIU’s Computer Gaming League (CGL) LAN party. I’ve been a member ever since last semester and this is the first LAN I attended. It was great fun, lots of ppl (almost 100)!! Food was the worst from the other LANs they’ve had, I thought it sucked too (school’s cafeteria food isn’t the greatest). The LAN was held from 10am – 6am, I ended up staying til 5:30am before packing up and leave. The main game there was Counter-Strike, majority of the ppl was playing it. Someone brought Dance Dance Revolution back to the LAN, and it’s funny watching some of the ppl trying to dance…hehehe. If you don’t know what DDR is, it’s a dancing game made by Konami where arrows comes up on the screen and where you try to step on the correct arrow at the correct time. You have to play this game with dancing pads. It’s really addictive and a great workout.
Also a CS tourney was held and my team got rapped in the first round and was eliminated
. Then later on a Quake 3 King of the Ring was held to win prizes. The give aways are Everglide mouse pads, Mushkin shirts, 64mb PC100 RAM, 128mb PC133 RAM, and Win2k. The match was a 20 minute deathmatch with 30-40 players and due to problems the match was rest 3 times before it was official. During all those matches, one of my friend and I was always on the top 2. Then in the final match I took first and my friend 2nd.
After that, I found out the prize give away was random. My friend who took 2nd place ended up with the 64mb RAM, the guy who got 14th place got the heffty 128mb RAM. I ended up with Win2k….and a weird looking trophy. At least I had fun and plan on going back to the next LAN on April 28th to defend my Q3 KOTR title.

hehe, weird looking trophy indeed. Looks like an abstract rendition of the head of a bull.
I think your site has some nice items on it, but the pictures need to be looked over. No pictures actually came up. I am in the computer industry as well and have an OC computer too. I never really was the neon type, but I am setting up a peltier system right now with a T-Bird 1Ghz chip. See you in the game rooms sometime.
Good gaming-

Hmm… just had to comment on the DDR part.
Yeah, DDR is definitely one great work out. And the mOoosic is definitely addictive. And it really helps if u dance with a friend… who doesn’t dance and keep the time as well as u do.. hah.
So which dance have u tried? Maybe Boom Boom Boom? (I’m sure I got it wrong… just can’t remember that freaking title). It’s my fav cause.. hah, it’s the easiest.
Grin. Anyway, ur trophy does look weird. really.
I can easily make that trophy myself. Do you want a couple more? :-D
A dancing game? Wow, that sounds sooo cool! I have never heard of them before.
